Day 17

Up early and on the road by 8:00 AM. It is another gorgeous, sunny day, but as we head northeast, we can feel the temperature drop. The interstate roads are great and the speed limit is 75 mph allowing us to make good time. There were a few times when the radar detector saved us. We had hoped to go farther, but by Park City, Utah, we were hungry and tired from driving 550 miles. We found a good deal on a hotel and after checking in, we walked to Ruby Tuesday’s for dinner. The trees in Park City, host of the Utah Winter Olympics, were beginning to show their fall colors on the sides of the mountains. We decided to relax our tired bodies in the hot tub. I could not talk Bob into a dip in the pool, but I sure enjoyed it. After the hot tub and a vanilla vodka and tea, we fell into bed…not as comfy as our Reno accommodations, but not bad.
