Day 8

We arrive at Canada Place Cruise terminal in Vancouver, BC at 7:30 AM. We are off the ship by 9:30 and on our way to SEATAC airport. Our bus driver was quite the tour guide with her Louisiana cajun accent. She went out of her way to show us points of interests along the way, including Gastown, Chinatown and new construction for the 2010 Olympics. It was easy crossing the border since our luggage was sealed and we were at the airport by 1:45 PM. My best buddy Barb, picked us up and we headed south to her home in Olympia. We could hardly believe that it was 85 degrees. She and her husband Michael spoiled us with a delicious steak dinner, fresh corn and yummy raspberries and blackberries for dessert. After a relaxing soak in the hot tub, we were ready for a good night sleep in a comfortable bed. It feels so good to be on land!
